Comprehensive planning, organized around outcomes
People don't search for products — they search for clarity about money. Our services are organized around the outcomes you actually want, with every piece coordinated as part of one plan.

Tax Strategy
Year-round, proactive tax planning — bracket management, Roth conversions, charitable strategy, and entity optimization — designed to reduce taxes across your lifetime, not just this year.
Investment Management
Disciplined, evidence-based portfolios built around your goals, time horizon, and tax situation. Low-cost, diversified, and tax-aware in every account.
Retirement Planning
From accumulation to income — Social Security, pension elections, withdrawal sequencing, and healthcare planning, all in one coordinated plan.
Business Owner Planning
Entity structure, owner compensation, retirement plans, succession, and exit planning — integrated with your personal financial life.
Legacy & Estate Planning
Coordinated estate, gifting, and beneficiary planning so your wishes are honored and your family is supported.
Insurance & Risk Management
Right-sized guidance on life, disability, long-term care, health insurance, and employee benefits, with insurance solutions recommended only when aligned with a client's overall plan.
How we work together
Our individual planning process is deliberate and collaborative. It starts with understanding what matters to you, builds a plan around it, and continues as a long-term partnership. While many clients are local to Minneapolis and St. Paul, we also work virtually with clients across the United States.
- 01
Discovery & values
We begin with an introductory meeting and a values exercise, then complete a Net Worth snapshot together so we both understand where you're starting from and what matters most.
- 02
Agreement & onboarding
We sign the Financial Planning Agreement, complete the WWG New Client Questionnaire, and schedule the Data Gathering Huddle so we can build a complete picture of your finances.
- 03
Strategy sessions
Over several meetings — typically every 1–2 weeks — we work through where you stand, savings and accumulation, asset allocation, taxes, insurance, and any additional topics like estate, real estate, or business planning.
- 04
Plan delivery
We assemble your financial plan, deliver it digitally and in print, and walk through it together so the recommendations and trade-offs are clear.
- 05
Implementation
Over the next six months our team helps you put the plan into action — portfolio transfers, insurance, new accounts, estate documents, and coordination with your CPA and attorney.
- 06
Monitoring & review
We track progress throughout the year with one to three review meetings and email check-ins as life and the markets change.
- 07
Annual planning anniversary
Each year we revisit the plan, celebrate the wins, identify open items, and roll everything forward into the next year.
Note: portfolio management for nonprofit organizations follows a different process designed for boards and finance committees. See our nonprofit process →
Transparent pricing, by design
We charge a fee that's a percentage of your assets because we feel this aligns our goals with yours. We provide insurance brokerage to our financial planning clients as needed, and receive a commission on those products.
